Top Dublin Pubs For Guinness

Here are my top Dublin Pub picks for Guinness drinkers!
I'll be updating the list as I go. If you have any recommendations hit me up and I'll give em a go... odds are I've been though.

#1 Cleary's Pub
Address: 36 Amiens St, Mountjoy, Dublin, D01 H6Y6
Great pint of G, good locals bar, not a lot of tourists. If you want to get away from the tourist spots and have a quiet pint in the city, this would be my #1 spot. Pint of G is under €6 too! Rare for Dublin.
#2 Bowe's Lounge Bar
Address: 31 Fleet St, Dublin 2, D02 DF77
One of the best pints of Guinness in the city centre. Tends to get some tourists as it's a very popular spot, but still one of the best pints and great spot for a quiet pint. Get there early as there isn't much room in the place and it fills up fast. If you are lucky, you may get into the snug (one of the best snugs in Dublin).
#3 John Kavanagh (Gravediggers)
Address: 1 Prospect Square, Glasnevin, Dublin, D09 CF72
Outside the city centre, this legendary spot has it all. Unchanged for decades, lovely pint of Guinness, and a great lounge for some home cooked Irish classics. Family ran for 6 generations, this is a must go spot. I'd recommend getting there early for some food in the lounge, then move to the bar for the night. At times there'll be tourists galore as they have tourist busses dropping in, but they typically don't upset the vibe of the place. One thing though, no singing, no tv, just chats and bants.

#4 Hartigan's Pub
Address: 100 Leeson Street Lower, Dublin 2, D02 W023
Just off St. Stephens Green, this little run down place hasn't changed in years. Plenty of local bankers rushing over for their after work pints and folks having pre/post pints for events at the Sugar Club. Lovely pint of G and the staff have always been friendly. Would recommend for folks looking for a place not too overrun with tourists and a more locals only vibe.

#5 The Stags Head
Address: 1 Dame Ct, Dublin, D02 TW84
Great Victorian pub in the city centre. Good pint of Guinness, and they have a few TVs for keeping an eye on the match. Good environment for almost any drinking sesh. Live trad music every Friday and Saturday, so get there early to snag a seat. Can get a bit of a tourist crowd as it's centrally located, but wouldn't let that stop you from visiting. Staff is also always friendly.

#6 The Palace Bar
Address: 21 Fleet St, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, D02 H950
One of the only pubs in Temple Bar that will ever make the list of top pubs to visit. Victorian pub with loads of character, and great staff. Due to it's location, close to Temple Bar you can expect lots of tourists but surprisingly it still has a locals only vibe. Great pint of G and with it's central location, there's plenty of places to float on to if you want to float about on a late one.

#7 Mulligan's
Address: 8 Poolbeg St, Dublin 2, DO2TK71
Friendly staff in this legendary Dublin pub with a great pint of Guinness as well. Typical crowd would be locals enjoying after work pints. You can always expect great chats and bants when you visit. There's no TV or other distractions so you can focus on the pints.

#8 Walsh's
Address: 6 Stoneybatter, Dublin 7, D07 A382
Walsh's, is a traditional Irish pub in Stoneybatter with friendly staff and a great pint. Place tends to get busy on Fri/Sat nights so get there early if you want to get a place to sit! Pub has a real local feel to it with lots of character. There's a TV in the bar as well, so you can keep an eye on the match.

#9 M.O'Briens Pub
Address: 8-9, 8-9 Sussex Terrace, Dublin 4, D04 KN82
Southside traditional Irish pub with a great pint of Guinness. Typical crowd would be folks having after work pints from the surrounding office buildings. There's a small television behind the bar so you can keep an eye on the match without it being too distracting. There is also a lovely resturaunt upstairs called The Sussex for folks looking to get food. Pop in for the dinner and have a few scoops in the bar before you float on somewhere else. Plenty of outdoor space and crowds will gather, chatting away with pints when the weather is nice. You'll have the occasional tourist in the pub due to the multinational companies in the surrounding area but that only adds to the craic.

#10 The Auld Triangle
Address: 28 Dorset Street Lower, Mountjoy, Dublin, D01 TH93
Northside pub with friendly staff and a good pint of G. This has a real local pub vibe and is usually packed on match day with folks dropping in before/after matches at Croker. The walls are adorned with Irish Republican and GAA memorabilia. Not only is the pint lovely, it's also around a fiver last I checked. Rare in Dublin these days. I'd highly recommend dropping in for a few scoops and mixing it up with the locals.
